World Book Day Quiz 2025

We're offering a fantastic reader development WBD opportunity next year for local schools. 

The Little Bookshop will be organising a quiz event which will take place Monday, March 2nd 2025 at Skipton Town Hall, modelled on the hugely successful Kirklees World Book Day Quiz which has run annually since 2013 with the involvement of our Events Co-ordinator (and children’s librarian), Alison Brumwell.Our quiz event will be aimed at Years 5-7 – a fast-paced, fun-filled celebration of books and reading. Teams will be made up of four players per school from these year groups. The format: six rounds of six questions each, based on a reading list of twenty books. Our book list includes junior fiction, high ability/low interest fiction, poetry, illustrated texts and narrative non-fiction, with a focus on diversity, top-notch writing and the very best new books for young readers.We invite you to express interest in taking part, please get in touch ASAP with a named contact at your school and we will send you information about registering a team shortly, along with the 2025 reading list.
